In this full interview Chango speaks on YTC, Shyne, ODB and Gangsta Lou. Chango of the YTC (Yellow Top Crew) reflects on his life, which includes forming the Yellow Top Crew. Chango speaks on his friendships with Shyne and the late actor Merlin Santana. He also reflects on how he helped the CP5 gain their freedom. In addition to this he also shares a cool story about Wu Tang Clan’s ODB.
Chango was one of the leaders of the YTC (Yellow Top Crew). The YTC was a organized drug gang from the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York. Through the late 1980s and early 1990s YTC controlled a twelve block radius on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Chango had a fearsome reputation on the streets of New York and was making thousands of dollars a day.
However, Chango now regrets his past actions and is involved in youth mentoring. Above all he warns kids not to be like him, but to “Be like Nipsey”, referring to the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
