Lorenzo “Fat Cat” Nichols and the Parole Officer Case

In 1985 Parole Officer Brian Rooney was shot dead allegedly on the orders of drug lord Lorenzo “Fat Cat” Nichols. The authorities at the time said Lorenzo Nichols ordered the murder to get revenge because the parole officer was instrumental in having him returned to prison as a parole violator. Brian Rooney was found shot to death in his car on a street in South Jamaica, Queens.
