In the early 90s West Coast rap dominated the Hip Hop world. Therefore some East Coast rappers felt they were being overlooked by record labels and radio.
Tim Dog was a rapper from the Bronx, New York. He made his debut on Ultramagnetic MCs 1989 single “The Chorus Line.”

Then two years later Tim Dog released the song “F*ck Compton”, which was a diss record aimed at the West Coast. Tim Dog took direct shots at popular rappers like Eazy-E, MC Ren, Ice Cube and Dre Dre.
His song became a worldwide underground hit and a rally cry for the Eastcoast.
However Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg would fire back at Tim Dog on the song’s “Fuck Wit Dre Day” and “The $20 Sack Pyramid”

Tim Dog would later travel to Compton and foolishly attempt to perform the diss record. But due to threats of violence from the Bloods and Crips, Tim Dog was forced to leave Compton via police escort.
Unfortunately on February 14, 2013, Tim Dog died of a seizure linked to diabetes.
